Clothing sells better when shoppers can see its shape, but a mannequin in the photo pulls attention away from the product. Upload a shot of your garment on a mannequin or a hanger, and this ghost mannequin AI gives you the hollow, invisible-body look on a clean white background, with the garment kept as it is.
Before and after: from mannequin photo to hollow product shot
Before: a T-shirt on a white torso form, or a jacket on a wooden hanger against your wall. After: the same garment, the same colour and print, standing on its own on white, with the inside back of the collar visible where the neck would be. That one change makes a home-shot photo look like it came from a studio.
Made for small shops
If you run a small clothing store on Shopify, Etsy or a marketplace, you probably do not have time to shoot each item twice and blend the layers by hand. Shoot it once on whatever form or hanger you have, run it here, and use the result as your main listing image. It suits T-shirts, shirts, hoodies, jackets, knitwear, dresses, trousers and jeans.
How to shoot for the best ghost mannequin result
Put the camera at chest height and straight on. Light the garment from both sides so there are no hard shadows. Button and zip it the way it should be shown, smooth out wrinkles, and leave space around it. A plain wall behind it helps the AI find the edges.
Front, back and openings
Pick "Front" or "Back", then choose the opening to rebuild: a hollow neckline for tops, the inner waistband for trousers and skirts, or the lining of a hood. For a full listing, run the front and the back photos separately and use the same background and crop for both.
Where it falls short
Small logos, fine text on labels and very busy prints can drift a little, so check them against the real item. Sheer fabrics and garments shot from a steep angle are the hardest cases. If something is off, run it again or start from a straighter photo.
