Knock one colour out of a picture while leaving everything else alone. Useful for clearing a green or blue backdrop, stripping a colour cast off a scan, or turning a single hue transparent for a clean cut-out.
How the remove a color from an image works
Upload the image. Name the colour you want gone and say what should replace it, for example 'remove the green background and make it transparent' or 'remove all the red and leave it grey'. Run the tool and check the edges of the subject closely, since fringing shows up there first. If a coloured halo remains, say so in a follow-up instruction and run it again on the same upload.
Tips for the best results
Name the colour precisely, including the shade, and say where it appears. Ask explicitly for no colour fringing at the edges. If the colour also appears in your subject, say which parts to protect. Hair, glass and motion blur are the hardest edges, so check those at full size.
