AI Company Description Writer: a short guide
The AI Company Description Writer drafts the short paragraph that tells people what a business does, who it serves and why they should pick it. Use it for an About page, a directory or marketplace listing, a LinkedIn company page, a pitch deck, or a Google Business Profile. For that last one, the Format menu has a Google Business Profile option that keeps the result within the 750-character limit Google sets for the description field.
How to use it
- Describe the business in a sentence or two: what you sell or do, where you operate, who your customers are and one thing that sets you apart. Free accounts can type up to 200 characters here, paid accounts up to 2,000.
- Choose Tone and Audience to fit where the text will appear. Professional suits a LinkedIn page; Friendly often suits a local shop or cafe.
- For a Google Business Profile, set Format to Google Business Profile (750 chars). The result comes back as plain text with no headings, and anything over 750 characters is cut at the last full sentence, so it pastes straight into the description box.
- Generate, read it against what the business really does, and change any detail the AI guessed. Run it again with a different tone if the first version does not sound like you.
Examples
- A dog groomer in Bristol writes a Google Business Profile description that says what services they offer and which areas they cover.
- A two-person software studio drafts an About page paragraph for clients who are not technical.
- A founder writes a three-sentence company summary for the first slide of a pitch deck.
Limits
- The AI only knows what you type. If you leave out the location, services or hours, it may write something vague or guess a detail, so check every fact.
- Google reviews profile descriptions against its own guidelines. Even within 750 characters, a description with links, prices, offers or promotional claims can be rejected, so keep it factual.
- It writes one description per run. For a long About page with history and team bios, generate sections separately or expand the draft yourself.
